Almenara Golf course was designed by Dave Thomas and it was inaugurated in 1997. The 27 hole course wiends its way trough natural parkland. The course has beautiful views to the Almenara hills and the Mediterranean. It is surrounded by pine trees and cork oaks.
The golf course has been designed with all abilities in mind - from high handicappers to professionals. Almenara also has the Sotogrande Golf Academy which has been categorised as C.A.R. (intensive training centre) by the Andalusian government. The academy has a driving range with 3-hole course (perfect for warm-ups) and ASTAR video analysis.

A must play golf course it should be on every golf trips itinerary. Testing but fair a good shot is always rewarded and a bad always has a chance to recover. Many water hazards and well placed bunkers surrounded by wild pines, cork trees, several streams and a natural lake. Strong par 3 and tempting par 5. Immaculate condition all year round. A very enjoyable test of golf!
